Head for the Hills is back for 2021!

We’re thrilled to announce that Head for the Hills will be returning as a two day event on Friday 3 and Saturday 4 September 2021.

For one-year only the festival will be moving from Ramsbottom to Burrs Country Park near Bury, as part of The Met’s Burrs Live season of shows in the park – but don’t worry, we plan to be back at our normal home at the cricket ground in 2022.

This will be a smaller – but still perfectly formed! – Head for the Hills with the same commitment as before to bringing you an amazing weekend of fantastic live music.

Visit The Met’s website for more information and to buy tickets.

What’s on?

Artists appearing include Everything Everything, Badly Drawn Boy, The Magic Numbers, Ibibio Sound Machine, Bess Atwell, Heavy Salad and Harp and a Monkey, and there are special activities for families on the Saturday. See the pages for Friday 3 September and Saturday 4 September for more details.

Food and drink

Brightside Brewery will be providing the drinks and will be complemented beautifully by a varied selection of local food vendors, so all you need to bring is yourself and a chair or blanket, sit back and soak up those summer festival feels.

Funders and sponsors

Head for the Hills is supported by Arts Council England, GMCA, Bury Council and Bury Town of Culture, sponsored by Contained Air Solutions, Pearson Ferrier, ISM Waste and Kadant, principal sponsor Avoira, and partnered by Lancashire Wildlife Trust, with Walk the Plank as a community partner.
