LYLA
LYLA are a five-piece outfit from Manchester who describe their sound as ‘Funk-Infused-Indie Soul’.
The band are fronted by LauraELL, with Simon Wolstencroft (Ian Brown, The Fall) on drums, and a group of exquisite players: Jack Duckham (guitar), Stu Whitehead (bass) and Christian Van Fields (keys). The line-up brings together styles of jazz, funk and soul infused with an indie twist and a heavy serving of disco-flared bass lines.
With their first recordings done with co-producer Yvonne Ellis (Simply Red, Corinne Bailey Rae) these funky northerners are set to release a debut EP this June exploring classic and vintage sounds with a modern twist, to feed your soul and get your feet moving.
