News: A taste of Summer at Head for the Hills 2018 launch
A taste of Summer arrived last Thursday with the press launch of Head For The Hills 2018. Now in its 8th year, the Head For The Hills Festival takes place on the 14th to 16th September.
Presented by festival organiser, The Met, in partnership with Blueprint Studios and Scruff of the Neck (SOTN), our launch showcased various artists throughout the evening, giving people a taste of what’s to come.
Opening the event was Manchester born singer-songwriter, Mano McLaughlin, with his heartfelt music. Liverpool’s electro pop trio, Stealing Sheep, also performed wearing vibrant, show-stopping jumpsuits to match their bright, unique music style. They are currently working on a ‘Suffragette Tribute’, which they will be performing live at our festival in September. While further paving the way for women in the music industry and breaking expectations with their distinctive indie music sound was alternative, post-punk band, LIINES. The all-female group treated attendees at the event to a very passionate live performance.
Explosive Live Shows
David Agnew, Head For The Hills Artistic Director, expressed his excitement on announcing this year’s line-up. ” This years festival will feature headliners known for their explosive, live shows. Because we continue to provide a platform for new music and emerging talent and, returning to this years line up will be bands who were a big favourite of past festival attendees. You can keep up to date with this years line up right here.
Head for the Hills Festival, 2018 is set to be a memorable, extended weekend of great, live music to wave goodbye to the summer. Promising to be a Festival packed with a wide range of energetic, passionate performers to entertain and satisfy everyone.”
